HARRISBURG - Rep. Jamie Barton (R-Berks/Schuylkill) invites residents of the 124th Legislative District to replace their damaged or faded license plates for free.

Barton’s office is teaming up with the Tilden Township Police Department to hold this event. It will run Thursday, Aug. 15, from 3-6 p.m. in the Cabela’s parking lot, located at 100 Cabela Drive, Hamburg.

“You could face hefty fines if your vehicle’s license plate is damaged, faded or peeling,” Barton said. “Not only will this event help you avoid the fines, but you’ll also get a new plate for free! As soon as the Tilden Township police officers sign off, our team will help you fill out the proper paperwork to get you your new plate.”

Drivers need to bring their driver’s license and vehicle registration card to the event. Once PennDOT processes the paperwork, they’ll receive a new plate at no cost.

Please register for this event by calling Barton’s Tamaqua office at 570-668-1240 or Hamburg office at 484-660-3721. You can also register online at RepBarton.com/Events.
